The forward DROP program has a maximum of 4 years.  You may, however, exit and terminate your participation in the Deferred Retirement Option Program at any time during those 4 years. 

To Exit the DROP, please make an appointment two (2) weeks before your last day of employment and bring the completed forms: 

• DROP Exit form
• Direct Deposit Authorization
• Tax Form W-4P

Your monthly pension allowance will commence the month following your separation from employment.

Additionally, we recommend that you contact the Risk Management Department, Group Benefits division if you elect to continue your insurance coverage.
